For the beginners, Idaho offers gentle rolling hills with well maintained fire roads and for you expert climbers and down-hillers, Idaho will not let you down. Up here we have it all when it comes to tight single track trails and some of the most intense descents one could ever hope to conquer. Waterskiing

Fishing

Lake, river or stream, ask any anglers from across the globe, you will not find a better variety of fresh water fishing on the planet. Some of the lakes like Pend Oreille are designated as Family Fishing Waters. Others are more for the experienced angler. Hunting

Every elk hunter has a dream of finally taking home a really big bull elk. Big elk hunting in Idaho for a long time has claimed many of the Boone & Crockett Club's list of elk trophies. Idaho has a huge elk herd of about 150,000 animals.

By far, the best place to find a trophy-sized bull elk is Idaho. All hunting is by permit only, and there are lots of elk, so hunters usually have no problem finding a big six-point bull.

Not only is the hunting better, but the bulls responded better to bugling because they were mature and more impatient to mate.

Large cattle ranches in elk country often have good resident elk herds. These elk are managed for trophy hunting. In fall, these cattle companies offer trophy bull elk hunting that rivals anything Arizona or New Mexico has to offer.
